The short version, and where to read the whole thing.
Draft wording — under legal review
This summary has gone to our lawyer with the rest of our legal pack. Every line on it is accurate today and is checked against what the product actually does, but the wording will change. The full notice published inside the product is the one in force.
Our full privacy notice is published inside the product, where it is generated from the settings that actually govern it — so it cannot drift from what the software does.
In short
- If you are a business using StaffOPs, you decide what is held about your staff and we process it on your behalf.
- Your data lives in Sydney, with backups in the same region.
- We hold names, email addresses, job titles, departments, shifts and answers to them, clock-in and clock-out times and the hours they produce, pay rates where a business has set them, and messages sent to the in-app assistant.
- We do not store location. A clock-in position is checked against the workplace address at that moment and discarded. There is no column for it.
- Assistant messages are deleted after 12 months, and records of who was asked to work a shift after 24 months, automatically.
- Timesheets are kept while the account exists. They are wage records your employer is legally required to keep — six years in New Zealand, seven in Australia.
- Closing an account ends access immediately and erases everything 30 days later. Everything can be exported as one file up until then.
- We do not sell data and we do not advertise.
